5 Configuration of the process plugin

In a SIS process, all settings for the unidirectional synchronisation of two data objects are included.

Dependent on which integration has been installed, different process plugins are available (see navigation "plugins").

The plugin defines the supported end systems, the supported data objects and the direction of the synchronisation. In case a bidirectional synchronisation is possible, it will be set up with two separate plugins and therefore processes.

The implementation of the set up process will be regulated by the queue for processes. Thereby, the process decides according to its implementation on its own how the next implementation in the queue will be planned ("queued"). That will be influenced for instance by the time-controlling or the debugging. The SIS server does not observe this process. The process processing needs to be started in order to implement processes by the SIS. This can be implemented by using the context menu of the server node in the navigation tree.

There are 4 possibilities in order to generate a new process:

By context menu or double click on the plugin

Select the desired plugin in the navigation tree under "Prozess plugins". The plugin name includes the type of source and target system as well as the names of source and target object. The menu option "Generate new process" and the double click open the characteristics dialogue of the plugin.

This kind of new generation starts with a complete "empty" process. All parameter, transformations and allocations need to be inserted manually. This is appropriate for extending processes ("Supplement") or mass update processes.

The menu option "Version-/Basic-Information" delivers the version number of the available plugin and if applicable limitations in relation with a basic license (panel images).

By set up resources

We deliver a collection of process and data service templates together with the installation files. These are completely defined by a standard scenario and enable a quicker commissioning of the integration.

By using the context menu or double clicking on a template, you open the characteristics dialogue of the plugin with the loaded template. You can adapt these according to your requirements.

By copying

You can open the feature menu by using the right mouse button on a process under "Processes" in the navigation tree. The entry "Copy" generates a new process based on the selected one. Thereby, only the definition of the process will be copied. Connected data like data images or entries in the queue remain unaffected.

The following features can also be selected:

Activate time schedule

In case a time-controlling is defined, the entry will be generated in the queue at the earliest possible date.

So you deactivate the permanent operation for this process.

Deactivate time schedule

In case a still not processed and planned entry is available in the queue, it will be deleted. Running processes will not be influenced.

So you deactivate the permanent operation for this process.

Start manually

Generates an entry for the immediate implementation in the queue. The implementation proceeds thereby as a planned implementation.

Start manually for a record

Generates an individual transfer for the immediate implementation in the queue. Thereby, the primary keys of the record need to be provided.

Export

The process can so be exported in a file in its current definition. This can then be imported with the SIS administrator in a desired SIS installation. For this, it needs to have the required plugin available.

Copysee above
Delete

So you delete the process, all data images, all entries in the queue and the record for this process. The deletion is definite.

Without data images, the SIS does not recognise the connections between the data objects and would if applicable assume that the records will be generated again by starting a new process.

By import

You can implement the import of a process definition by using the context menu on the entry "Processes". For this, you require the XML file from the process export or the set up resources. After selecting the file, the characteristics dialogue will be opened.

Furthermore, this menu contains features for activation and deactivation of time schedules as well as for a manual start of all available processes. In case a process does not have a valid time schedule, it will be skipped.
