5.3 The allocations

After transforming your data for the target system, you can display columns from the source or the transformation to columns of the taget system in the allocations. In case, you are using a basic license, the quantity of the possible target panels is limited on the system standard. You can invoke a detailed listing in the process or plugin by context menu. Panel images can additionally be ignored at the process implementation.

You can particularly find a tree display of the source and the target in the upper area. All available columns and sub ojects are listed. As soon as you have displayed a column couple, the names receive a star. You define the image by the buttons. If you leave your cursor on a column, its details will be displayed. In addition, the colour of the column defines certain characteristics.

  • Red are all mandatory panels of the data object
  • Blue are the primary keys of the data object
  • Grey are write-protected columns which lead to an error notification when verifying the writing process if you are allocating a value

In addition, a seach panel for each site is available whereby panels can be searched. All compliances will be marked coloured and the last one will furthermore be selected. In case, no result will be displayed, the search fileld is marked in red.

Below, you find the available panel allocations with detailed information in a sortable list. Red marked lines include a conflict which is resulted by the scheme definition.

That does not necessarily mean that an error will occur here. If you are displaying for instance CRM selection panels, the maximum length of the marking code is 40 characters. However, if the selection options never exceed the length of the target column, an error will not occur. The SIS cannot guarantee this only by the scheme and reports a conflict. Conflicts can however also occur by missing already allocated source and target columns.

The lists of the allocations support a context menu whereby for instance also several allocations can be removed at the same time. For allocations which have a length or type conflict, the context menu includes a feature for fixing the conflict by transformation. The SIS administrator generates the necessary transformations in this case and modifies the allocation accordingly.

The conflict has been fixed by context menu and the new generated column has been allocated to the target.

Therefore, this transformation has been generated which trimms the length of the source data at the maximum of the target.
